Labor Day at the Barber Den

Change begets change

Labor Day Weekend has always marked the end of summer fun and the beginning of the fall season, with schools back in session, football season gearing up and shorter, cooler days. The shop closes for the Labor Day holiday, and for a number of years, I volunteered to help out at the local MDA Jerry Lewis Telethon, another Labor Day staple.

But as seasons and telethons have changed, there are other changes this Labor Day that affect The Barber Den directly. After eight years, we said goodbye this week to our good friend and excellent barber, Paul Frappied. Paul has the opportunity to join up at an area barber shop with Mark Giannuzzi (who worked at The Barber Den a few years ago). We wish Paul, and Mark, the best of luck in their new venture.

Due to this staffing change, we are changing back to our original Tuesday through Saturday schedule and will be closed on Sundays AND Mondays. Doug, Jan and Phil will work full time now, along with occasional visits by Denny. We will still offer the same old school services at competitive prices!
